Bobby Ingham is an artist from Leeds (b.2001). His practice involves exploring identities, escapisms, and experiences. He does so primarily through the mediums of sculpture, film and sound. Bobby draws on his own and others lived experiences to
create and locate settings in which his works exist. The use of the esoteric is prevalent in his work, from costumes to colloquialisms. These techniques reference modern living in the city, in particular ‘The North.’. It is through recalling ‘real life’ experiences sometimes combining the ‘real’ with the mystical and dystopian to explore escapes from the mundane. His approach to art making stems from research into subjugations, postmodernisms and absurdism, as well as works from Philippa Foot and Epicurus.
